Office rebranded to Microsoft 365

Microsoft has announced that its iconic Office suite of programmes are to be re-branded as Microsoft 365 from November 2022.

The Microsoft Office suite of programmes currently include Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, and Yammer. Microsoft made the rebranding announcement last week, although the cloud-based subscription service has been known as Microsoft 365 for a couple of years.

Microsoft Office will become Microsoft 365 in the biggest rebrand for the software suite in 30 years.

Microsoft has launched a new logo to replace the familiar orange device that has been used to represent the programmes in recent years.

Microsoft have been using the “Office” brand since November 1991.

All Office products will be rebranded with Microsoft 365 soon including with the new logo. The first logo and design changes will appear at Office.com in November 2022, followed by the Office app on Windows, iOS, and Android in January 2023. Microsoft 365 will now be home to Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Loop, Clipchamp, Stream, and Microsoft’s new Designer app.
